Wine : A Passion passing on from father to son...
Wine-growers from generation on generation, it is Marcel who in 1957
decided to vinify his own harvest and commercialize his own wines.
Then, his son Gérard decided to keep on with the tradition of
being the guardian of an exceptional heritage. From several generations
we produce Alsace wines from different grape varieties and soils, each
one with its own personality but always with the same quest for purity
and elegance combined with richness and harmony. Wine-making process
and aging are entirely made in our own cellars carefully respecting the
personality of each grape variety and soil. A friendly welcome at our
tasting facility awaits you and we will be happy to share our passion
with you.
Quality and its improvement are not due to hazard. We bring particular
attention to our vines in the winter. Without question, a wine is born
in its soil and mostly in the vineyard. The quality of an excellent
wine is already in the grapes. Our wine is exclusively bottled in our
own cellars.

NOS GRANDS CRUS
Un terroir exceptionnel :
Le Grand Cru Mambourg

AN EXCEPTIONAL SOIL : MAMBOURG GRAND CRU.
The south-facing vineyards of the Mambourg slope dominate Sigolsheim.
One of the foothills which penetrates the furthest into the plain of
Alsace, it enjoys optimum sunshine. The lime-magnesium soil is only
developed on the calcareous and marl conglomerates covering the hills
during the tertiary period. Yields are always low, which favours
quality.
Mambourg wines are very characteristic, well-balanced, and age well.
They are elegant with great finesse, a powerful bouquet and a very long
finish.
Le Coteau du Grand Cru Furstentum
Well exposed, facing south south west. A sandy marly limestone soil is
the characteristic of the Furstentum Grand Cru. The steep (37 %) slope
optimises exposure to the sun, on a soil which accumulates both heat
and moisture.
Conditions are ideal for producing exceptional wines.
Furstentum wines age well, displaying great finesse, remarkably powerful aromas and exceptional aromatic complexity .
Le Grand Cru Kaefferkopf
Located in the heart of the Alsatian vineyard, the name refers to the
vineyards sited on several hills in the foothills of the Vosges
stretching across 71ha. The very characteristic taste of the wines that
are produced here is a result of the combination of the special
geological nature of the soil (clay and chalk and clay and silica) and
exceptional levels of exposure to sunshine.
Kaefferkopf has produced an elegance and delicacy of flavour famous
since the 14th century making him one of the best Alsatian crus !
